Media, suburbs, violence...

Some tracks and references

It is possible to imagine easily that because of the actuality of the colleagues have difficulties in making court in some suburbs and that debates open with the way French and foreign media is productive count disturbances which agitate several agglomerations. These events are a chance to think about the treatment of actuality in crisis or of disaster :

 It is hardly comfortable to receive in class of the questions without answers already constructed, already constituted in stamped knowledges. However the realities of the world pervade our schoolrooms, that it pleases us or not, and they are perhaps our chance to find the sense of knowledges which we teach. Because these realities, when they come into sight, are seldom formulated in question settings, but more often made up as certainties, as anger, as provocations. They are the starting point of a knowledge which remains to construct. It will be patiently necessary to clear the true questions of strong emotional expenses - unavoidable because it is about the real, present life - widely fed by media, their deafening purposes, their opacifiantes pictures and their least loud silences, and however our only means of access to a lot of knowledges on the world  ,

Odile Chenevez in the number of the pedagogic Notebooks (June, 2005, n  434) dedicated to  The actuality of the world and the class  writes   . Examples and tracks will be found there to receive emotions of the pupils facing the pictures of violence.
